Why are we doing this?

Rooted in the Riley Park and Mount Pleasant neighbourhoods, we are committed to embracing community, sharing life together, and offering hope to our neighbours. This hope is not just an idea—it is found in a person: Jesus Christ, who transforms lives.

Embracing community is embracing the diversity in the people around us. This belief transcends race and is inclusive of all people groups, including people with diverse abilities. Too often, this demographic is overlooked, marginalized, or ignored entirely. We believe, however, that every child of God is uniquely created and inherently worthy of love, and so as we love God, we also love ALL others (John 13:34-35).

What is Night to Shine?

Home Church is proud to partner with the Tim Tebow Foundation as an official Night to Shine host site for 2026. We will be joining over 800 Churches from more than 60 countries to come together with over 189,000 volunteers to serve and celebrate with over 107,000 honoured guests who have special needs! 

Parents and Respite workers, don’t think that we’ve forgotten about you! Join us in our Respite Room and enjoy an evening off as we express our deepest appreciation for all you do!

Here are some answers to common questions.

Night to Shine will be held at Home Church (215 East 18th Ave., Vancouver) on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 5:30pm - 9:00pm.

Night to Shine is designed for people with diverse abilities, including phyisical and cognitive disabilities, ages 14 and older.

Unfortunately, our facility can only hold so many people. Our capacity is 75 honoured guests. Once we have reached our capacity, you can join our waitlist and we will contact you if a spot becomes available.

Our menu will be updated once it becomes available!

The Respite Room is for parents and caregivers that will be attending with the honoured guests. This is a separate room with snacks, drinks, and more!

Upon arrival, each honoured guest will be paired with a buddy who will lead them to the various activities throughout the night. They will make sure each honoured guest are well taken care of.

Each guest begins with a grand red carpet entrance. Touch-up make-up and shoe shining stations are available. We will also provide a corsage/boutonniere for each guest. After taking a photo at our special red carpet photo wall, guests are free to take part in any of our activities: karaoke, dance floor, buffet dinner, balloon twisting, candy bar, low sensory room, limo rides, and more! And don't forget about the crowning ceremony!
